Warm Greetings Quilting Friends,With the Wild West Shop Hop just wrapped up, it’s time to think about what quilting fun we can have in 2003 (Yikes!). The buzz-word for quilt classes at QT in the new year is "variety." We've selected projects from hot new books or patterns as well as old favorites. Our newsletter descriptions will give you a clue about the quilts, but be sure to come to the shop to view the project samples on display in our classroom. Highlights include Linda Hohag's Starch Method Applique class and also a class based on her utterly charming critter quilt. Mary Tozer has a beautiful new seasonal sample for her needleturn applique class. Leona is back to teaching classes on Sundays, so if you need a fun get-away from the football arena in your family room, spend the day with us. Retreat events include a UFO weekend at the Long Lake Conservation Center January 10 - 12. The rustic and peaceful setting is just right to finish a couple of projects you may have set aside. We will also retreat to the fabulous Schwan Retreat Center March 14 - 16. Rita will host and share a delightful Anka's Treasures quilt called "A Good Catch". Her samples will include a "his and her" version of the quilt and a wall-hanging project from the Setting Up House book. We will be hosting two, in-shop retreats as well. Helen Thorn will be teaching her new pattern "Deb's Dilemma", great for the Camp Wilderness flannels by Moda due in the shop in December. Our March day retreat will be "Paducah Nine Patch"from the Nickel Quilts book, taught by Mary Wilberg and we'll have fun with a St Patty's Day theme. Sale events include a Super Bowl Sunday Fat Quarter Sale Sunday, January 26. Our Customer Appreciation Sale is February 16 - 22. If you have turned in a punch card this year, watch your mail in December for your postcard invitation. It's not too late to make a few quilted gifts for the holidays. We can give you lots of fast and fun gift ideas that take just a couple of hours to make. Also, remember our gift registry. Make your Christmas list at Quilted Treasures, send in your hubby and kids and we'll make their shopping experience a snap! We hope you plan a visit to our shop soon to see our new batch of class samples, and check out the great new fabrics that arrive every day. Have a wonderful holiday season filled with family gatherings, a little stitchin' time, and we'll see you at QT soon.
Keeping you in stitches, |
QT will be closed the following dates: December 24, 25, 31, 2002 and January 1, 2003. |
